ABSTRACT: I review exact solutions of the one-dimensional QCD at finite temperature and non-zero chemical potential for the gauge groups G=Z(N),U(N),SU(N) for all values of colors N and fermion flavors N_f. Such solutions are available both for the partition function and various expectation values. The phase structure in the large N, the large N_f and the ‘t Hooft-Veneziano limits of all models is also discussed. A comparision of all limits with SU(3) QCD and with free fermion model is performed.
