People involved in AIM/next_AIM projects


The researchers involved in the AIM and next_AIM projects have long-standing expertise in most medical imaging techniques, and in image processing, data analysis, pattern recognition, machine learning, complex network analysis and related applications.

The AIM collaboration involved initially (2019-2021) 7 groups of researchers from INFN Divisions and collaborating Universities, namely:   

  • INFN Divisions of Pisa (PI), Bari (BA), Bologna (BO), Cagliari (CA), Catania (CT), Firenze (FI) and Genova (GE).

In 2021, 4 additional groups joined the AIM project, namely:

  • Laboratori Nazionali del Sud (LNS), Milano (MI), Napoli (NA) and Pavia (PV). 

The next_AIM collaboration (2022-2024) currently involves 12 groups of researchers from INFN Divisions and collaborating Universities, spread over Italy:   

  • INFN Divisions of Pisa (PI), Bari (BA), Bologna (BO), Cagliari (CA), Catania (CT), Ferrara (FE), Firenze (FI), Genova (GE), Laboratori Nazionali del Sud (LNS), Milano (MI), Napoli (NA), Pavia (PV).
