About meHi! I am a Physics researcher at the University of Pisa, Italy. I'm involved in the experimental study of the gravitational field and the gravitational-wave detection within the Virgo Collaboration. My research interests include General Relativity and its tests, relativistic astrophysics, statistical signal processing and modern techniques in statistical inference by means of deep learning. My academic studies have concerned Fundamental Interactions, focusing in particular on Particle Physics in the beginning and moving later to General Relativity.Since 2015, I assist the Physics class at the Department of Pharmacy as a teaching fellow first and as a lecturer now. I'm also assistant for the Multimessenger Astrophysics class at the Department of Physics. In the past, I've also taught Physics with Laboratory at the Department of Mathematics. I also deal with scientific divulgation, for which I collaborated with astrophile groups and held lectures in schools and for the general public. Currently, I collaborate with the Virgo Outreach group in organizing conferences and seminars about the recent discoveries about gravitational waves. In the free time, I like playing music and writing, mainly sci-fi short stories for some blogs and contests. |
