The initialization of HV channels are performed in this TAB. CAEN SY127
and SY527 HV modules are supported. One or more than one channels can
be selected. The HV channels are switched ON/OFF after setting the
Voltage and Current. The ramping Up/Down in voltage can be monitored as well.
The HV channels are to be defined for initialization in the
"Device " field with the
following parameters.
"Type" HV Crate Type
should be selected from the
"pull down menu" .
" Crate" HV Crate Number
should be given here.
" Board" For SY527 CAEN
Crate one must specify the number of a board here. This is not
required for SY127.
" Channel" In case of
SY527 CAEN Crate the channel number corresponding to a Specific
Board should be specified here. On the other hand for SY127
CAEN Crate the channel numbers are contiguous numbers (0-39).
After selecting a HV channel one needs to click the
"Request" button to initialize
the channel. There is a "Release"
button as well to release a channel.
After Initialising a channel one can define it's parameters (V0, I0,
Ramp Up, Ramp Down) in the
"HV Setting" field. If more than
one channel are selected the setting will be subjected to the one
displayed in the "Device " field.
The button "Set One" should be clicked
to set the parameters.
The parameters of a single or multichannel can be viewed
using "Read One" or
"Read All" buttons from the
"HV Actions on Single/Multi Channel"
field respectively. The actions are listed in the
"text window".
A single channel can be switched ON/OFF using
"Toggle" button. The action of
the toggle button is monitored in the
"Voltage Monitor" in green color.
