The DB600 is a manual adhesive die bonder, equally suitable for the prototype\u00a0process assemblies and routine production work. It is ideal for the hybrid\u00a0applications and for handling work pieces up to 102mm square, offering\u00a0functions such as die eject, pressure dispense and offset printing.<\/span><\/p>\n

DIE HANDLING AND PLACEMENT
<\/span><\/b>The\u00a0pickup and dispense heads are mounted on precisions Z-slides with manual\u00a0control to aid precision placement to an accuracy of +\/- 25 microns.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die presentation options include waffle tray or mirror tray pedestals\u00a0and a die ejects system for wafers up to 152mm diameters. A multiple component\u00a0handling capacity is achieved by using a rotary pick-up head carrying\u00a0four manually selected toolholders. <\/span><\/p>\n

An optional heated workholder for temperatures of up to 250\u00b0 Centigrade\u00a0is available for use with thermoplastic adhesive materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

EPOXY DISPENSE
<\/span><\/b>In its simplest form the DB600 can be used for picking and placing die\u00a0or components on to pre-screened substrates, but may be upgraded into\u00a0a full dispense system with throughput rates of up to 300 units\/hour.<\/span><\/p>\n

The standard dispense method is from a low volume reservoir nozzle, with\u00a0dot size being controlled by time, pressure and needle size down to 0.15mm\u00a0diameter.<\/span><\/p>\n

When large amounts of adhesive are required, standard cartridge holders\u00a0are available up to 50cc. The optional pressure dispense system is generally\u00a0used for smaller dice and multiple dispense nozzles are available for\u00a0larger dice.<\/span><\/p>\n

OFFSET PRINTING
<\/span><\/b>The offset printing option enables consistent printing of larger areas,\u00a0including irregular shapes, eliminating multiple dot dispensing.<\/span><\/p>\n

A rotating reservoir contains the adhesive, the thickness of which is\u00a0controlled by an adjustable knife blade which leaves a thin and uniform\u00a0layer into which the transfer tool is lowered. Print tools are easily\u00a0interchanged.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
